These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website at upliftcommunities.com (the “Site”), operated by Uplift Communities, LLC (“Uplift Communities,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who We Are

Uplift Communities, LLC is a New York limited liability company and a for-profit social enterprise. We provide workforce development, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, life skills, college readiness, and youth programming services to institutions, government agencies, schools, employers, and individual participants. Our principal office is located at 81 Willoughby Street, 7th Floor, Suite GF, Brooklyn, NY 11201.

Uplift Communities, LLC is the operating arm of the Institute for Human Advancement (IHA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Charitable giving is administered through IHA at theiha.org.

2. Use of the Website

The Site is provided for informational purposes — to describe Uplift Communities' programs, team, partners, and services, and to allow visitors to inquire about working with us.

Acceptable use: You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms and all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

You agree not to:

Submitting an inquiry through the Site's contact form does not constitute enrollment in any program or create any contractual obligation on the part of Uplift Communities. All program engagements — including workforce development contracts, institutional partnerships, sponsorship agreements, and individual participant enrollments — are governed by separate written agreements executed by authorized representatives of both parties.

The Site describes program offerings in general terms. Specific curriculum content, schedules, eligibility requirements, pricing, and availability may vary by cohort, location, or contract. Please contact us directly for current program information.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including but not limited to text, curriculum descriptions, program names, graphics, logos, and branding — is the property of Uplift Communities, LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any Site content without prior written permission from Uplift Communities, LLC.

5. Third-Party Links and Resources

The Site may contain links to third-party websites — such as theiha.org, social media platforms, partner organizations, and government agencies. These links are provided as a convenience. Uplift Communities, LLC is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party sites, and the inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to those sites' terms.

Uplift Communities, LLC makes no guarantees regarding specific employment, educational, or financial outcomes.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Uplift Communities, LLC, its members, managers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your access to or use of (or inability to use) the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. In any event, our total liability to you for any claims related to the Site shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00).

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York.
